Country music fans will converge on Neyland Stadium for two sold-out Morgan Wallen shows this weekend. The concerts will start at 6:30 p.m. on both Friday, September 20 and Sunday, September 22.
In addition to providing in-stadium support, Knoxville Police Department officers will be staffing traffic assignments and road closures around Neyland Stadium. Officers will work to get concertgoers to and from their destination as safely and quickly as possible.
The KPD will also have high-visibility patrols in the Cumberland Avenue, Fort Sanders and Old City areas that will be in place before the concerts start until well after they conclude.
For any fans attending one or both of the concerts, here are some reminders and things to know:
- Traffic around Neyland Stadium will be heavy. Have a plan to get to and from the stadium safely, and arrive as early as possible.
- Traffic patterns will be similar to UT football games and delays should be expected. Knoxville residents not attending the concerts should make an effort to seek alternative routes to get wherever they are going.
- Information concerning parking, concert safety measures and more can be found here.
- Stay aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity. Suspicious activity can be reported by calling 9-1-1 or the non-emergency number at 865-215-4010.
- Lock and secure your car. Remove or safely store any valuables, especially any firearms. Do not leave valuables in plain sight.
- If you are under the influence, do not drive and find a sober ride to your destination.
Anyone needing assistance while attending the concerts is encouraged to ask one of the many officers working inside or outside of Neyland Stadium.
